While some races in Photo Finish Live fill up and close when they have enough entrants, more prestigious races are allowed to overfill. These races accept any number of entrants because they are important enough that many players may want a shot at them.

Every race that can overfill has a mark. If you see a (+) sign next to the entrant count of a race, that race can overfill. If the race is already over full, the entrant bar will turn red. This mark shows in the full race list and on the race page.

Every race that can overfill has a selection committee that picks which horses will run the race. Different committees select for different things, and the selection method is not public. However, horses with greater prestige (wins, winnings, high tier wins) tend to be favored. They make for more exciting races and more exciting gambling.

Players who aren't selected for a race they chose are directly refunded their entry fee.
